2022.01.15.

On January 15, the BME-ZalaZONE Professional Day was organized with participation of BME leaders on the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground. The purpose of the visit was to provide BME management with a comprehensive picture of the innovation ecosystem around the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground.

Researchers at six faculties of BME are working on developments related to the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground in twenty-five projects. Details and results of research carried out in the framework of R&I cooperation between BME and ZalaZONE were presented in form of table or poster exhibitions and indoor and outdoor demonstrations on the event. The presented developments included satellite positioning of vehicles on the proving ground, solutions related to a sensor system and metallic components development, as well as development of a vehicle display on windscreens. In addition, experts presented their research on the regulation of BME’s autonomous vehicle services, on decarbonisation possibilities of the proving ground, on material handling systems, on autonomous minibuses, and on the effects of different fuels.

After the indoor presentations and demonstrations, the BME delegation went to a guided proving ground tour and attended live demonstrations on the Dynamic Platform. As stated, BME already provides the background for 60% of the technical scientific activity on the test track, and the close cooperation between ZalaZONE and BME will continue.

A summary of the event can be found in the REPORT of the Faculty of Transport and Vehicle Engineering of BME. Detailed information about the research projects You can find HERE
