ZalaZONE soon to become a CCAM member

2025.01.16.

We are pleased to announce that the application submitted by Autóipari Próbapálya Zala Kft. to join the CCAM (Connected Cooperative Automated Mobility) Association has been positively assessed.

The application submitted at the end of last year has already been pre-approved by the CCAM Association Administration Board. Becoming an official member requires the approval of the association’s general assembly, which will next take place in Brussels on June 4.

In the meantime, we are looking forward to the wide range of programs and solutions provided by the association.

The CCAM (European Partnership for Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility) initiative was launched in 2021 by the European Commission together with 10 other new European partnerships with the aim of boosting investments in research and innovation in the period 2021-2027.

The same year, the CCAM Association, an international non-profit organization was founded with more than 230 members working in the field of connected, cooperative and automated mobility.

By bringing together all the relevant stakeholders from diverse sectors such as industry, research, services, public and local authorities, associations, SMEs, the CCAM Association aims to accelerate the development of new technologies and their deployment in real life.

The members of the CCAM Association met in Hungary in November 2024, during which they also visited ZalaZONE, where they were able to gain first-hand experience with the test track’s unique ADAS and Smart City test modules.

Uniqueness of the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground in Zalaegerszeg lies in the fact that, in addition to traditional vehicle tests, it also enables the testing of complex, automated, connected and electric vehicles, as well as of complex traffic situations and vehicle functions under safe conditions.
