At the invitation of the Hungarian Consulate General in São Paulo, Dr. Zoltán Weltsch, Research Director of ZalaZONE InnoTech, traveled to Brazil. Dr. Weltsch, Professor at the István Széchenyi University in Győr, held discussions with local institutions, academic and business stakeholders in São Paulo and Curitiba.

As part of his visit, he gave a presentation at the Consulate General’s Innovation Conference entitled “The European Union and Brazil on the road to decarbonization” and met with thirty potential partners, mainly from the automotive industry, battery development and energy storage, and university cooperation.
Zoltán Weltsch visited the Technological Research Institute of São Paulo, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of São Paulo (USP-POLI), the State University of São Paulo (UNESP), the Technological Institute of the State of Paraná (Tecpar), the Department of Electrochemistry of the Sena Innovation Institute, the Paraná-i Federal University of Technology and the Positivo University of Paraná.

During the discussions, they could identify common interests with the partners that can serve as a good basis for future professional research collaborations.
