On January 22, a delegation of South Korean researchers visited ZalaZONE. The trip was organized by the Hungarian Battery Association within the the Economic Innovation Partnership Program (EIPP). The Hungarian and South Korean governments have signed a cooperation agreement to launch the EIP program in 2022. The program’s focus is primarily on the development of e-mobility and carbon-neutral transport.
The group of battery development specialists was met at the ZalaZONE conference center by Péter Simon, R&I Manager of the ZalaZONE Battery Competence Center, and Bernadett Rádli-Burján, development engineer of ZalaZONE InnoTech Nonprofit Kft.

During the stay, the group first took part in a bus tour of the test track, where they visited the 12 test modules. At the energy storage counters in the Smart City, they got an insight into ZalaZONE’s energetics related research projects.

Afterwards, they learned about the structure of the ZalaZONE ecosystem, the operation of the battery competence center and the details of the activities and services on the test track through short presentations.
The visit ended with a wrap-up and discussion about cooperation and joint research project possibilities, which was also joined by Bálint Tóth, local representative of TÜV-Rheinland.
