PL-HU CCAM Workshop at ZalaZONE

On April 07-08, 2022, a Polish-Hungarian Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) Workshop was held at the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground. The workshop brought together experts from Polish and Hungarian Ministries (Hungarian Ministry for Innovation and Technology and Polish Ministry of Infrastructure) as well as universities (BME and Warsaw University of Technology). Colleagues from Polish Motor Transport Institute/ Warsaw also attended the meeting.

The workshop aimed at starting cooperation in CCAM. There was an intensive discussion about the main challenges and approaches to developing and regulating autonomous vehicles in both countries.

Presentations covered the introduction of the Hungarian Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory, the Autonomous Systems National Laboratory, the Polish Motor Transport Institute’s Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Competences Centre, furthermore the Polish and Hungarian university courses related to autonomous vehicles.

As a result of the workshop, direct contacts between institutions were created, and more detailed topics for further cooperation were identified.
