The technological diversity of hydrogen and the ecosystem approach are essential for Europe to successfully achieve its sustainability goals – was said at the HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency Zrt.’s Summer University in Zalaegerszeg. According to Dr. Virág Mészáros, CEO of HUMDA, hydrogen is not only an energy source, but also a key opportunity for the decarbonization of mobility and the green transformation of industry.

The three-day event entitled ” Fostering Global Hydrogen Collaboration ” will focus on the future and possibilities of hydrogen. During the program, Hungarian and international research projects, and international collaborations were presented.

Prof. Dr. László Palkovics, chairman of the board of the Széchenyi István University Foundation, pointed out: the development of the hydrogen economy is inevitable, but the global upswing is slow, concrete decisions have been made in only 8% of the planned investments. However, Hungary plays an important role in this progress.

At the Summer University, dozens of participants were able to get to know the work and results of numerous professional organizations, as well as the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Grounds modules and activities, contributing to strengthening the R&D capacity of the Hungarian automotive industry.
