The Zala folk dance group recently released its latest music video, shot to the well-known melody of the Tokyo Drift episode of The Fast and Furious film series. Based on a 2023 choreography, the video was filmed in May last year, among other places, at ZalaZONE’s track modules.

On the Zaol podcast, Ruben Kósa, the band’s artistic director, and Laura Kósa-Kemes, the youth group leader, talked about the circumstances of the video clip’s creation. As they said, a long-standing dream of the Zalai Dance Group came true, when Eastern culture, modern hip-hop and authentic Hungarian folk dance collide in a stormy performance.

One night in May, the dancers arrived at the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground in rental cars, the video was filmed and edited by Vörös Zétény. They hadn’t expected it during the filming, but suddenly there was a heavy rain, which ultimately made the event even more special.
