This year’s “Gurul a Térség” (Rolling in the Region) program was once again a huge success, with over 600 cyclists exploring the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground on Sunday morning, July 20. The tour, held for the fourth time, was organized by László Vigh, Member of Parliament, with the aim of “socializing” the facility and providing a truly hands-on experience for those interested.

Cyclists gathered in front of the reception building, where the event began with a brief informational session. Following this, everyone hopped on their bikes and, led by MP László Vigh, set off to discover the latest elements of the proving ground. The approximately 10-15-kilometer route was completed at a comfortable pace, in one group, accompanied by experts working at the proving ground, as well as police officers and paramedics. Throughout the tour, participants were treated to demonstrations at each track element, where professionals explained the dynamic capabilities of cars – how they accelerate, brake, and turn.
A unique experience was that the oval track was accessible by bicycle for the first time, which was met with great enthusiasm by the cyclists.

At the end of the tour, participants also had the opportunity to explore the Smart City, which models a real urban environment.

The cycling event held at the Automotive Proving Ground saw participants between 2 and 91 years, proving that the ZalaZONE Open Day offered an attractive and unforgettable experience for all age groups.
