We recently hosted prominent professors in the field of AI from TU Wien, one of Europe’s leading technical universities. Our discussions focused on AI research, particularly the application possibilities of autonomous machines. We presented the guests the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground, with its globally unique capabilities, as a key testing environment for autonomous vehicles and devices.

We provided a detailed overview of the development of domestic research since the 1980s thanks to which SZTAKI, the Test Track, and partner universities today have outstanding professional competencies in this field.
Furthermore, presented the work of the National Laboratory for Autonomous Systems and the National Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence, and through three detailed professional presentations we explored the most current research directions.

The professors from TU Wien, led by Dean Gerti Kappel, spoke with great appreciation about the work of ZalaZONE and the domestic research institutes, and clearly expressed their intention to collaborate.

Our goal is to launch a European-level project as soon as possible, which could be of key importance for both Austria and Hungary. We will finalize its structure by November, and continue the professional discussions in at TU Wien in Vienna.
